#ThinkTalkTeach (Cyber Security Awareness Program)
WNS Cares Foundation (WCF) launched an initiative called #ThinkTalkTeach recently. It is an extension of the Global Impact Day 2017 program, CyberSword, aimed at educating children and youth about cyber safety. After interacting with the students of WCF partnered schools, we realized that this initiative that should be expanded beyond our boundaries.
Here are some statistics that will give you a perspective into why #ThinkTalkTeach is highly relevant in today’s times:
· 43% children face cyber bullying every day. That’s 1 in 4 kids
· The infamous Blue Whale Challenge claimed the lives of 100 teens worldwide
· According to a study, India is ranked THIRD in the list of countries with the highest number of cyber threats in 2017
We need to pay closer attention to what our children and youth, our younger siblings and even millennials are watching online. We need to have more conversations with them about detecting cybercrime and protecting themselves from a potential attack.
#ThinkTalkTeach helps us do just that. And since its launch just a few weeks ago, the initiative has gained great momentum.
Now, we need your help in spreading the message further and creating a larger impact.
