Skills Builder Partnership
The Skills Builder Partnership brings together more than 530 schools and colleges, 50 youth organisations and 120 employers, working towards a common mission and shared language around the essential skills for education, entrepreneurship and employment.
Our programmes support educators to teach eight essential skills: listening, presenting, problem solving, creativity, staying positive, aiming high, teamwork & leadership. The Skills Builder Framework breaks each of these skills into the teachable chunks and tangible components, so that they can be explicitly taught one step at a time. Our school programmes start with core membership, which is fully-funded in your first year thanks to our employer partners. Membership includes dedicated support from one of our outstanding teachers, a goal planning process guided by six principles we know are fundamental to successful skill development programme, training for teaching staff to drive learner progress and a suite of teaching resources and assessment tools to support progress of learners at all stages. Schools increase the impact of their programmes with challenge days, projects and trips to employers, which are priced at cost and provide opportunities to learn, practise and apply the skills in a range of contexts.
