Food Packing involves children, teachers, support staff or parents helping to put together, seal and put into boxes, packs of dried rice, soya and lentils along with micronutrients. Each pack contains 6 meals ( 1 each for 6 children), which will be cooked in school kitchens in places such as Zimbabwe, Kenya, Burkina Faso and Lesotho.
We arrive with all the equipment and ingredients needed to mix the meals, the heat sealers to seal the bags, to keep them fresh and clean during the shipping process, and the boxes which hold the meals.
Just imagine every box of food you pack will help feed 6 children for a month.
This really is a practical, hands-on, way of responding to some of the areas around the world in greatest need.
