In Clubs, girls engage in fun and engaging online coding tutorials, build community through interactive activities, learn about inspiring role models in tech, and work together to design solutions to real-world problems facing their communities. Clubs are designed to be run by anyone, regardless of experience with computer science.
Through the Clubs programme, girls learn to use computer science to positively impact their community and develop essential skills like bravery and perseverance. Clubs are typically hosted at schools, libraries, community centres, college and university campuses, and other non-profits.
It’s completely free to host a Club and free for students to join. The only requirements are space, a staff member or volunteer to serve as a Facilitator, and computers with internet for each participant. We provide everything else that you need to start and run a successful Club: including training and comprehensive lesson plans for Facilitators, as well as self-guided tutorials for students which are all housed on our online curriculum platform called Girls Who Code HQ.
