We have two types of interventions: those led my teachers in their own classrooms and day courses led by Apps for Good employees.
Our teacher led courses span a variety of technologies including App Development, the Internet of Things and Machine Learning and teach students how to use technology to help improve the world around them. They are delivered in school by your teachers and are fully resourced with everything that you need including Powerpoints, Schemes of Work, lesson plans, lesson primers and student workbooks. We have an online bank of CPD available for teachers who wish to up-skill themselves in different areas of technology at any point throughout the course.
All of our courses are carefully mapped against the curriculum and can be delivered in ICT / Computing lessons, after school as an extra curricular club or as an enrichment activity. Our schools have had success in delivering from age 10 through to 18 and can be easily simplified or extended according to your students’ needs.
We have a bank of over 1300+ volunteers from organisations including Spotify, LEGO, Bank of New York Mellon and many more who are available to dial into classrooms through Skype / Google Hangout to provide guidance and support to your students through their project.
We also offer engagement days that are led by Apps for Good staff and supported by volunteers from some of our wonderful corporate partners. These days typically last between 9:00-15:00 and have students working in teams to design and build technology to overcome a problem they care about. Due to our capacity we are not always able to facilitate requests for in person engagement but if you are interested request a callback, and if an opportunity for us to deliver to your school or college arises we will be in touch.
