Active8 Day and residential activities for young people aged 14-18 with a physical disability with no moderate or severe learning difficulty.
Up to 12 young people from all over Cornwall meet for twelve residential weekends a year, for two years. This residential weekend project is called Acceler8.
Active8 started this youth group because young people were isolated and wanted something they could join in with. The members travel a long way to get together, put a lot into the weekends and they spend some memorable times together. Acceler8 can help you get involved in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, sport, music, community groups and many other activities which use your skills and talents to the full. Numbers are limited because of space: we try to give the places to those who need it most. Are you someone who could join Acceler8? If so, go for it!
Each project is designed for the needs of the individuals but here is a list of events the current Acceler8 have done in the first year of their project.
